It's About The Competition

It's about discipline, perfection

The beauty of movement

Like poetry in motion

Moving in absolute harmony

It's speed, power

Racing across the countryside

The power of take-off

As we fly over each jump

It's about precision, agility

The race against time,

To run, soar, fly

Through the final course

It's about teamwork

Horse & rider as one

The thrill of competition

All eyes on you

It's about dedication

Early mornings and late nights

Riding in freezing snow and scorching sun

For that thrill, that dream, that goal

This is my life

This is me.

My Horses

It all started with Judy...

My first pony, Judy. I'm 4.

Judy and I were together for 6 years, and we did everything.  I learned to ride with her and I learned to jump with her.  We played Pony Club games together.  I even took a few spills with her and learned not to fall off.  We won lots and lots of ribbons together.  I really started to like English when I had Judy.  Then I outgrew Judy and she went to Texas for a couple of years to live with actor Barry Corbin's granddaughter, Cori, who was a model... until Cori outgrew Judy, too.

And now Judy lives in Aspen, Colorado, with Carly.

So, I needed another pony, and we bought Stormy.  I still have Stormy but let other young riders who are starting out borrow her.  Stormy is THE BEST pony ever.  She does everything and loves to please.  Stormy doesn't do anything wrong!  Everyone wants to have a pony like Stormy.  We played Games, and Stormy even went to World Championships and played on the French team, who took 2nd place in World Games in 2003.  Stormy is quite the pony jumper, too.  She is getting older, but she is still the best.

I'm 11; at camp.

My first jumper show with Stormy was Mega Rally at Midwest Region. I'm 11.

C & up camp in Indiana

USMGA games.

USPC national championships in 2002.

Stormy at World Championships in 2003.

I also wanted a paint horse to show with my friend, so we found Mr. Lucky Mac.  I still have Lucky, too.  Lucky is just like Stormy but in a bigger package; he'll do anything I ask of him.  Lucky now events Beginner Novice.

Then, about 2 years ago, I got the Eventing fever and wanted a very competitive jumper with spirit.  I found Risky, who was a former A circuit jumper, and she was a challenge at times.  Unfortunately, Risky fractured her elbow and had to be put down before we had a chance at our Eventing career together, but I have very fond memories of her.

Which leads me to my current horse, Uptown Girl or Wonder.  We bought Wonder in May of 2005 from my friend near Chicago, Brittany Meyer.  We have only been together for a little over a year, but have had so much fun and have learned so much together.  Pictures of our competitions are on my News webpage, but here are a few of my favorites.
